Nature’s Cure, with Monty Don and Sue Stuart-Smith

November 14, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 pm UTC-4

Free

Monty Don, Britain’s treasured horticulturist, author, and broadcaster, and Sue StuartSmith, prominent psychiatrist and psychotherapist, reflect on the life-affirming capacity of gardening and nature to soothe troubled minds in our disturbing world. Sue Stuart-Smith’s latest book, The Well-Gardened Mind (William Collins, July 2020), is an inspirational investigation into the effects of gardening and green spaces on our health and well-being. Monty Don’s book My Garden World (Two Roads, September 2020) is a personal journey through the natural year. His most recent film production, American Gardens, includes Middleton Place in Charleston, SC, as well as many gardens that have been part of the Garden Conservancy preservation program, Open Days, or other educational programs.

This virtual event takes places November 14 at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time and is free to the public.

For more information and to register, please visit the Charleston to Charleston Literary Festival website.

This event is made possible with the generous support of Benjamin and Cindy Lenhardt and the Garden Conservancy’s Lenhardt Education Fund.
